Sosa & Arvelo is looking for a Business Management and Accounting Intern to work alongside the firm’s accounting and consulting team, hybrid out of the Orlando, FL office, on a schedule built around a school calendar.
01What the role does
The internship gives exposure to the full spectrum of the firm’s work — bookkeeping, client reporting, and consulting — alongside experienced professionals on real client projects, rather than a rotation built around busywork.
02Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping — data entry, account reconciliation, and transaction categorization
- Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and client presentations
- Provide administrative support for client onboarding and account management
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis for client projects
- Maintain client files, documentation, and project-management systems
- Participate in client calls and meetings to gain direct exposure to consulting practice
- Support business-process analysis and improvement work, and look for modern, AI-assisted ways to do it
- Assist with special projects as assigned by senior team members
03What we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-directed, and able to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid environment
- English and Spanish fluency required
- Previous internship or work experience in business or finance is a plus, not a requirement
