Sosa & Arvelo is a family-owned advisory firm. We help nonprofits stay on the right side of federal grant and tax-exempt rules, and we help financial-services and commercial organizations build the finance, control, and security programs that survive examination.
01What it is like
The firm is small. Partners scope the work and do the work. There is no layer of people whose job is to restate the meeting.
The work is specific: federal-funds accounting, tax-exempt filings, month-end close and reconciliations, cybersecurity programs, control mappings, incident files that may have to be read later by someone who is not on our side. If you prefer generalist “strategy” with no underlying rule, this is not that practice.
We work in English and Spanish. Say which you write better, and which you can work in.
We have offices labeled in Florida, Puerto Rico, New York, and Washington, DC. Where a role sits, and whether it is remote, will be in the posting.

Senior Accounting Specialist
Hybrid · English and Spanish required
Leads month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for the firm’s clients, and supervises junior accounting staff.
Business Management and Accounting Internship
Hybrid · $18 / hour · Apply by September 26, 2026
Hands-on exposure to bookkeeping, client reporting, and consulting work, alongside the firm’s accounting and consulting team.
